Linda Rae Roehrborn is from Marshfield, Wisconsin. Her previous education includes an A.S. in Electronics Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a B.S. in Biology from Arizona State University and an M.S. in Oceanography from Texas A&M University. She is currently a doctoral student supervised by Dr. Wilford Schmidt. She is working to deploy instrument like the acoustic-Doppler current meter via un-tethered free-descent/ascent vehicles, specimen collection accessories, sediment sampler and CTDs. She will use these instruments to study the Puerto Rico trench and potentially collect un-described marine species. She will then compare these species to others in similar and contrasting locations.
