Rene Esteves Amador is from Lajas. Her previous education includes a B.S. in Biological Science from Ohio State University and an M.S. in Biological Oceanography from UPR Mayaguez. He is currently a doctoral student supervised by Dr. Jorge Garcia.
His research interests include the connectivity of coral reef fish populations and
the potential of mesophotic coral reefs as sources of fish larvae to shallower
reef communities. Spatial and temporal
variability patterns in coral reef fish community structure and their response
to the large disturbances.
